01-Memoir of Rati

Set in the Thai Buddhist year 2458 (1915 CE), this is the story of the relationship between Rati, a common orphan employed as an interpreter, and Phi Thee, a marquis in the Ministry of Education. Amidst conflict, love blossoms, just as the taboo of social differences between lowly commoner Mek and Barronet Dech threatens their budding friendship.
